Mandatory Compliance Requirements

Please note, ACSO have some compliance requirements that all employees must satisfy. The position description and job advertisement will specify which compliance requirements are needed for each individual role. We will provide more information on these requirements during the recruitment process.

All roles at ACSO

ACSO employees undergo a National Police Record Check (NPRC) on a three yearly basis. We will arrange an NPRC on your behalf (at our expense) during the recruitment process if you are a preferred candidate.

Client-facing (operational) roles at ACSO

As a registered NDIS provider, ACSO employees in risk assessed roles are required to hold an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (at their own expense) before they commence employment with ACSO. This is a new national check introduced by the NDIS Commission effective 01 February 2021. The check is valid for five years and transferable across NDIS providers.

Roles with exposure to people under 18 years of age

Any role with the potential to work with children will also require an employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).​​

ACSO has approximately 500 employees and we offer a range of roles across our client facing (Operations) teams and our Corporate Services teams.

We regularly recruit to positions in our Operations teams and are always on the lookout for passionate people to join our Forensic Drug and Alcohol Assessment, Forensic Residential Care, and Forensic Case Work Services programs in particular.

Forensic Case Work Services – Forensic Case Workers

Forensic Case Work Services – Forensic Case Workers

Responsible for delivering pre- and post- release support to their allocated participants and work intensively with prisons, courts and where applicable, with community corrections to successfully reintegrate participants. A Forensic Case Worker is responsible for record keeping (including data entry and case-noting) and providing assertive outreach and interventions to at-risk and vulnerable cohorts, typically taking place face-to-face with participants in settings and environments that are comfortable for the participant.

Forensic Drug and Alcohol Assessment – Forensic AOD Assessors

Forensic AOD work involves conducting specialist forensic alcohol and other drug assessments and counselling, professional report writing, and formulating treatment plans. It also includes liaison and consultation with treatment providers, courts – specifically Court Integrated Support Program, Adult Parole Board, Community Correctional Services and other parties on issues relevant to the client group.

Forensic Residential Care – Forensic Residential Support Workers

The Forensic Residential teams work with adults who have a disability and an offending history. This will involve intake and client assessments, care plan meetings, individual support and treatment planning, and preparation for client transitions. You will work in one of our Residential Houses which spans a 24/7 rostering model.
