ACSO operates at the intersection of justice, human services, and health to provide reintegration services, mental health support, alcohol and other drug treatment, intensive residential programs, and housing. Our work supports, diverts, and reintegrates people, empowering them to make meaningful change and build better futures. 

Our expanded program

ACSO currently services the South-East Queensland (Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich) and with the new expansion, our teams will also be delivering services across the Central Region (Caboolture and Rockhampton) and Northern Region (Townsville and Cairns)

We have closed recruitment for our Team Leader and Forensic Case Workers positions in our Queensland Operations teams to deliver our new Men’s Reintegration Service (MRS), currently known as CREST (Community Re-entry Services Team).

Forensic Case Work Services – Forensic Case Workers

Forensic Case Work Services – Forensic Case Workers

Responsible for delivering pre- and post- release support to their allocated participants and work intensively with prisons, courts and where applicable, with community corrections to successfully reintegrate participants. A Forensic Case Worker is responsible for record keeping (including data entry and case-noting) and providing assertive outreach and interventions to at-risk and vulnerable cohorts, typically taking place face-to-face with participants in settings and environments that are comfortable for the participant.

Forensic Drug and Alcohol Assessment – Forensic AOD Assessors

Forensic AOD work involves conducting specialist forensic alcohol and other drug assessments and counselling, professional report writing, and formulating treatment plans. It also includes liaison and consultation with treatment providers, courts – specifically Court Integrated Support Program, Adult Parole Board, Community Correctional Services and other parties on issues relevant to the client group.

Forensic Residential Care – Forensic Residential Support Workers

The Forensic Residential teams work with adults who have a disability and an offending history. This will involve intake and client assessments, care plan meetings, individual support and treatment planning, and preparation for client transitions. You will work in one of our Residential Houses which spans a 24/7 rostering model.
