Boost

Boost is a new mentoring program operating in the Illawarra region of New South Wales. It is designed for young people between the ages of 14-17 who have breached or are considered “at risk” of breaching an existing Apprehended Violence Order (AVO). The program is an intensive intervention that will work with young people over a period of six months, enabling them to understand why they engage in violent behaviours; identify strategies to replace old behaviours with new prosocial and respectful behaviours; and practice new skills in a safe and supported environment.

Referrals to this program can only be made by the NSW Children’s Court, NSW Police, and NSW Youth Justice.

For more information or to submit a referral from one of these agencies, please email boost@acso.org.au.
