Introducing ACSO’s new Client Management System – Community Care

Last month ACSO announced that we have commenced a project to retire our existing client management system (CMS) Penelope and replace it with Community Care by KPMG.  

A core aspect of the new CMS is its ability to provide the sector with a purpose-built portal for a streamlined management of treatment referrals following a Forensic AOD Assessment by ACSO.

The new portal will enhance referral and information sharing through a purpose-built interface. This will allow AOD service providers to accept referrals and update their progress on the provision of treatment.

Additionally, each provider will be equipped with an individual dashboard, which will provide visibility of open referrals awaiting acceptance and allocation, the number of active treatment episodes and more.

ACSO and KPMG are still in development of the final system structure and functionality and anticipate it will be ready to roll out the new portal towards the latter part of November.

One of the bigger changes you will notice as a provider is the enhanced security and privacy protection gained though a new access approach. The portal will use individual logins, rather than access shared between a group; one-time passcodes rather than passwords, so when you log in a code will be sent to your email or phone to allow you to log in.

In the next few weeks, a link to a user registration form for the new portal will be sent out to all service providers. Individual logins means that every user will be required to register separately by capturing the required information on the registration form which can be accessed and submitted online.

Resources such as user guides and instructional videos will be published on the ACSO website in late October to support self-directed use of the portal and drop-in training sessions will be available throughout November and early December to support the transition.
